Experiences & Feedback
After the first two rounds in the spring semesters of 2014 and 2015, the experiences have been predominantly positive. On the part of the students, the interactivity during the excursion was particularly welcomed, while the excursion leaders appreciated the simplicity of the use of technology.
All participants were impressed by the amount of data that could be collected during the 30-45 minute surveys. Furthermore, the placement of the experiments after the lunch break had the desired reactivating effect on the student groups.
There was potential for improvement especially in the questions for the evaluation phase. Furthermore, it is important to plan enough time for the evaluation phase, as this led to more detailed discussions.

"I found the experiment exciting and informative."
"The results of the experiment we did ourselves were very memorable. Better than if we had been presented with it theoretically. However, the results were already to be expected at the beginning of the experiment.
"I found this scientific part very informative. The variability of the wind could be impressively shown with the experiment."
"It was cool to be able to collect so much data in such a short time".
"I saw the difficulties of collecting a suitable amount of data and learnt
methods to solve this problem. In addition, I walked more attentively through nature at the end".
